Live Action Videos, starring Jacob and Lucas

Still pictures not enough for you? Then enjoy these little bits of video. They're not the best quality, just flashes of Jacob's life as seen through the eye of the camera. We started in October because the new camera was a birthday present for Deb) and still record here and there whenever we think of it! Recording much more this way in April since Daniel stole, er, borrowed our video camera and now this is all we have to record movement. They're not all the best quality (Timber Movie is at night in a dark room) but they shouldn't take hours to download, either! And we are sorry about the sideways ones, but sometimes Debbi starts to take a picture and then switches to video and doesn't turn the camera back to landscape!

October 2004

October 9 - Jacob at 8 1/2 months old in his grandparents' backyard.
October 12 - Jacob swinging at the gym.
October 17 - Jacob playing in the hay at Butler's Orchard.

November 2004
November 25 - Thanksgiving Day in Missouri.

January 2005
January 12 - Jacob and Austin fighting over a horse.

February 2005

February 6 - Super Bowl Sunday, supporting the 'Skins (hahaha), riding a wooden horse.

March 2005
March 3 - Jacob and Kirsten playing, again, at Chuck E Cheese.
March 3 - A dizzying ride in the teacup.
March 4 - Jacob climbs up the rack.
March 30 - Jacob tries to walk/climb up a slide (J thinks: If Caldwell can do it, so can I!).

April 2005
April 11 - How big is Jacob?
April 15 - Where is Jacob's tummy?
April 16 - First walk on the beach*, straight into the water (brrr, it was so cold and windy!)
*Okay, so I was thinking I'd take a picture of Jake and then decided to switch to video but didn't turn the camera back to landscape so this video

is sideways. I can't seem to fix it so you'll have to turn your head or figure out how to rotate it on your screen. Sorry!!
April 20 - Chasing bubbles, he stops to pick Mommy a flower (of course, he picked his first one the day before and tried to eat it instead!)
April 21 - Not his first time down the slide but the first time he actually seemed to enjoy it!

May 2005

May 14 - Look what Daddy taught me to do.
May 21 - Cue Chariots of Fire Theme.
May 30 - This was cuter when he was standing and falling backwards but you get the idea.

June 2005
June 7 - Just a boy and his dad, puttering around in the basement.
June 9 - I can do it all by myself, and proud of it.
June 25 - So nonchalant, you'd think this wasn't his first time doing this.

July 2005
July 4 - Swimming in the river with Uncle Boo and the cousins.
July 4 - In the tube, jetski revving loudly in the background.
July 15 - Our little prodigy composes his first sonata.
July 26 - He's found the Teletubbies, the horror!
July 28 - He can READ!

August 2005
August 4 - Did you know spinning requires a "vroom" sound? Neither did we!
August 4 - The Great White circles his prey and is distracted by a blow up toy.
August 10 - Jacob loves fish and there are a lot at the National Aquarium.
August 21 - We thought we would show off his giggle when he flies. The best we could do was a smile.
August 29 - Here is the real joy of flight. He gets some serious air and then asks for "me me (more)".
August 31 - Jacob and Kirsten at a waterpark with a lot of background water noise.

September 2005
September 3 - Playing with his grandparents who learn just how heavy he is.
September 26 - Rolling down the slight hill in front of our house (sorry for all the wind noise).
September 29 - More wind noise, plus Jacob climbs a ladder all by himself.
September 30 - So ticklish. We love his giggle but it's mean to do this TOO often (right?)

October 2005
October 11 - He's going to snuggle cousin Tanner whether he likes it or not.
October 26 - Jacob at 21 months on an ordinary day, just swinging at home.
October 29 - Four of the cousins in the cornbox at the pumpkin patch. It was VERY cold out, hence the layers.

December 2005
December 5 - Another sideways video but it really was Jacob's first time seeing, touching, enjoying snow (previous winters, we kept him covered.)
December 24 - Christmas Eve, playing Pictionary, Jacob felt left out so he decided to draw, with both hands. He's ambidextrous.

January 2006
January 7 - Spinning with cousin Grace, they were having much more fun before we pulled the camera out.
January 9 - J and K play Monkey See, Monkey Do with a pair of basketballs at Toys R Us. Cheap entertainment.
January 17 - Jacob tries to blow a very big bubble. He doesn't quite have the technique down.
January 26 - If you listen closely, you can hear him count from 3 to 10 (1 & 2 were before we hit Record).

February 2006
February 5 - Attack of the Daddy Tickle Monster. Usually, Jacob asks for more if we stop!
February 8 - Jacob and Kirsten run around a pair of chairs and fall down on cue.
February 10 - Bowling, with a little assistance from mom, bumpers, and this big device.
February 22 - Look, he's pedaling all by himself! His dad is off to buy bike parts and build him a mini flatland bike now!
February 23 - Happy, chatty toddler swings at the park. Mom is a very creative videographer.

March 2006

March 16 - J and K jump and sing an alphabet duet.
March 27 - J and K play in the sandbox. What a classic childhood experience for the moms to relive by watching and playing with them.

April 2006
April 2 - J and his cousins ride the tire swing. He loves playing with them and they are so sweet and willing to include him in their fun.
April 18 - Jacob really enjoys blowing bubbles. He's getting better at it every day
April 30 - Grandpa and Mommy didn't want to get up and open the door so we suggested an alternative. J loved the idea!

May 2006
May 13 - A lovely Spring afternoon boat ride with some cookies, some tunes, and a Barbie life vest.
May 19 - He taught himself how to do this and we can't get enough of it.
May 19 - Completely missing the "L," two "M"s, and a convoluted ending but he is so proud of himself.
May 26 - Attack of the rhinos at Animal Kingdom. It didn't phase J a bit, as you can see!
May 26 - His favorite chipmunk "Chippy" gives him some special attention during the parade.
May 27 - Other toddlers and preschoolers were zonked in their strollers at 1 am. Not Jacob. He was psyched for the next ride/show/whatever.
May 28 - Jumping into the hotel pool.
May 28 - It took serious bribery to get him to agree to stop sliding and have lunch! Don't worry, Dad was at the bottom to catch him each time!
May 30 - J called the Typhoon Lagoon Wave Pool "Whoomp" and had a blast being whacked with a wall of water. We recovered the missing floatie!
May 30 - As you can hear, he wanted more and more "Whoomp" and it was hard to leave that day.
