Summer in the DC area means more activities than you can shake a stick at (whatever that means.) Jacob had another busy month, from trips to a local lake,
to visiting his cousins and playing in the river, to playdates with all of his friends, to the Beach Boys concert, to his first waterpark and first circus
(both on the same day!) He's had such a blast. He even started swim lessons this month (pics will be on September's page). He wakes up in the morning and,
in his drowsy daze, usually says "Baby" but as soon as he realizes where he is, he almost always says and looks for "Dada." Makes a Mom feel like chopped
liver! But, apparently he says "Mama" often while he's out with his Dad so he just wonders where the parent he can't see is. Favorites right now: Dogs,
babies (any size, up to 4 years old!), fish, and drawing. The kitchen cabinets are adorned with his artwork. For those who keep track of such things, he
now weighs 29 pounds, is 34 1/2 inches tall, and we're buying 2T pants and 3T tops for fall/winter. Oh, and he still gets his 30 minute per day fix of
Teletubbies. The huge grin he gives us when it starts, it lights up the room. For those of you who have not gotten your fill of Jacob snuggles, sorry, he's
pretty much snuggled out. Babies and Mom are the only ones who gets them anymore, unless he's really, really tired. He definitely needs a little brother or
sister. Maybe next year...
