December was a pretty busy month! Jacob went to "visit" Santa three different times. First at a high school show, then a neighborhood party, and finally
the standard mall run. He did great, no fear, just waved at Santa and climbed on his lap. Not a very shy boy, wonder where he gets that from?! He went
roller skating (okay, mom put him in some skates, took a couple pictures, then took them off so he didn't get hurt.) Not quite ready to roll. We'll save
the ice skates for next winter. He finished up swim lessons until the summer and used his final class to show his dad everything he had learned and just
how much he loved to swim (something he didn't always convey to his mom). Several holiday parties filled the month (no surprise there!) and he just loved
every minute of it. Ever the social creature, Jacob would rather spend his days out and about, whether it is with older children, babies, or even a big
group of adults all focused on him. He's just not picky! If he wakes up grumpy, all we have to do is tell him who/what he is going to do that day and
the grumps are gone. When he is 'forced' to stay home (because sometimes, you just have to!), he still loves to swing, ride his toys, draw, assemble the
Potato Heads, and play with his new Lego table. He is working on his numbers and letters - he asks us to sing the ABC song with him, as well as other
songs he's picked up from TV. Coming next month: His first movie outing, pandas, and bumper bowling (and, of course, the big birthday bonanza).
