April 2006

April has been busy.  The weather has been erratic so we haven't known until we stepped outside some days that we would have to turn around and head back in to change to warmer or lighter clothes.  Jacob loved Easter.  He got the concept of the egg hunting pretty much immediately and then asked for more as soon as he had found all the eggs.  So we hid them over and over again, recalling our childhood where we did the same thing.  It was heartwarming.  He turned 27 months on the 19th.  It's hard not to still think of him in terms of months, rather than years.  Two years just sounds too broad.  He had official portraits taken, as is tradition, and will have them taken again at 30, 33, and 36 months.  Start next year, however, we'll cut back to twice a year since he changes less and less between shoots.  He got a lovely case of poison ivy shortly thereafter and has looked a mess since.  Enjoy!
