Baby obsessed - that's what Jacob was in July. He couldn't get enough of them. Hope this attitude sticks around for the next year or so, but probably not with one around 24/7. With Daddy out of town most of the month, J spent a lot of time with women. Mommy and Miss Kathie kept getting together to do girlie things and, bless his heart, he tolerated it all pretty well. It was such a hot month that we could barely stand to go outside for the shortest times. Even the waterpark was little relief. But at a lovely 52 degrees, our day trip to Shenandoah Caverns had us in pants and long sleeves! Okay, not until we were actually in the caverns and as soon as we emerged, off came the layers and it was back to the sauna outside. The video player made the trek whine-free and even has the moms plotting, er, planning other excursions that are a slightly longer drive than the mall! Hopefully Daddy is home for a while and we can do some more family things in August!
