How old is Jacob? We can't say 2 1/2 anymore and almost 3 isn't
really accurate, either. Suggestion would be appreciated. We
had very nice weather all month, took a trek to the National Zoo, took a
lot of walks, and spent a fair amount of time walking the woods,
collecting sticks and leaves and acorns for our big school project - a 4
foot tall "Bat Cave" and other school crafts. He never has
homework but his parents sure do. The joys of a co-op. But,
gosh, he loves it, every minute of it and does not want to go home at the
end of the day.
Jacob is still trying to process the loss of his favorite furry friend, Cinny dog. He is still convinced that he can kiss her all better, or that someone can, and continues to look for her. Heartbreaking! He had his first sleepover at the grandparents this month. It went, uh, okay. He got upset enough at bedtime to make himself sick, twice, which is not surprising, but he did sleep through the night (lucky grandparents didn't get the "fun" of a toddler crawling into their bed in the wee hours and kicking them in the neck all night!) and was perfectly chirpy when he called home the next morning. We "rewarded" his bravery with a trip to Butler's Orchard to pick pumpkins and play with cousins. Oh, and the requisite pony ride. He was a pretty happy camper! Halloween went swimmingly, with our little Nemo hitting all the houses in the neighborhood with his buddy Ryan and a few other neighborhood tots. All that candy and what does he choose as his one snack that night? A package of potato chips. Still, the junk brought havoc upon his digestive system (which is sensitive, probably because he eats mostly organic, sugar-free, trans-fat free foods and it is not used to processing the bad stuff except french fries!) and it took 24 hours of tantrums, acidophilus and homeopathic remedies to get him back to the sweet kid we are used to. Anyone want/need 6 pounds of candy?! |
