Hot Hot Hot, this month was hot! We tried to get to the water as often as possible to try to beat the heat but, goodness, it was rough. We went shark tooth hunting at Chesapeake Beach and found some great fossils. Yoga class ended, which was okay with Jacob. We went to several school playdates, the goal of which was to let the children get newly or re-acquainted with their future classmates. Jacob and his dad drove up north to hit the county fair. Yes, of course we have them down here, but there is a comfort level with a familiar place, especially when taking a child out for the first time out of a diaper. They came home in the wee hours, amped up on cotton candy and fair fare. It was a great experience. Lucas rapidly went from barely crawling to crawling at super speed, pulling up on furniture, cruising along, and threatening to let go. His increased mobility led to several changes around the house, from babyproofing to a touch of the sibling rivalry, as he could now access some of Jacob's outgrown toys and some current ones.
