We've tried to brave the heat as often as possible and Jacob and Lucas are both troopers about every excursion but, goodness it's been sweltering. The boys have spent a great deal of time indoors, enjoying the air conditioning with their mom. Lucas got his first hair cut this month, and his first tooth. Jacob turned three and a half which means, um, not a party, but still an occasion to get a formal portrait done. Jacob continues to enjoy summer camp and movies. Lucas is tolerating being dragged to all his brother's activities and the Mommy and Me movies, bless his little heart. To reward him for his bravery, we got him a long overdue, brand new, plush car seat, since, as you can see in one of the photos below, he had long ago outgrown the "baby bucket."

Next month, we'll tackle potty training and crawling, so stay tuned for exciting pictures in August!
